The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) and the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG) are pleased to present ARCHIVE MACHINES, an online exhibition of recent works by Southern California artists.
ARCHIVE MACHINES will follow the structure of "living archives", with the exhibition taking a cumulative course, growing throughout the duration of the show across four thematically curated sections: REVISIONING, RESISTING, REWIRING, and RELATING.
Artists were selected by Olivian Cha, Curator and Collections Manager, Corita Art Center, Los Angeles; Kerstin Erdmann, Director, Galería OMR, Mexico City; and Rita Gonzalez, Terri and Michael Smooke Curator and Department Head Contemporary Art, LACMA, Los Angeles.
